When we go out for a day of sea fishing, we go out to catch either mackerel or cod, depending on the season.

To catch delicious fish, you need a good rod, including fish lead and a paternoster. You can bring your own rod, of course, but you can also rent a rod from us for a mere € 15. You can also purchase fishing lead and paternosters separately on board. A filleting knife is indispensable for cleaning your catch. If you do not have one, you can also purchase one on board. If you want to enjoy your freshly caught fish at home, it is best to take a cooler with you.
Although our skipper will take you to rich fishing areas, you can maximise your chance of catching a lot of fish by taking these tips to heart:
De Mercuur is a very stable ship, measuring 40 metres long and 8 metres wide, and forms a great backdrop for a wonderful day of sea fishing. The spacious deck, which boasts two sturdy fishing tables, gives you plenty of room to fish at your leisure and clean your catch. The ship meets all the requirements set by the shipping inspectorate and is therefore considered safe.
Looking to recover from a long day of fishing? No problem! Below deck, we have a lovely canteen, where you can enjoy the delicious bites served up by our modern galley.
You can also rent De Mercuur for groups, so that you can enjoy a day of undisturbed fishing with your friends, company or organisation. The rental prices for our modern ship are as follows:

Caught plenty of mackerel again. Catches are looking up, and we couldn’t be happier!
Great weather, caught lots of mackerel. We cancelled the afternoon session because of the weather. The ship has been rented out for tomorrow, but we still have spots available for the rest of the week.
